She was the first woman in the hospitality industry to be granted a Golden Visa by the UAE government
Dubai, March 19, 2024: Atelier House Hospitality (AHH) is pleased to announce the next promotion stage for its leader, Panchali Mahendra, to Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Panchali will expand AHH’s content and offerings, partnerships and collaborations, and geographic reach in the region and Southeast Asia. She will also strengthen the team with precise talent additions to meet our goal of being the premium boutique firm in the area.
“Panchali’s relentless strategic efforts have taken two of our brands into KSA; secured the exciting NEOM Sindalah Island operation of 5 unique restaurants, adding recently the prized Yacht Club; and entered New Delhi with award-winning restaurant InJA,” said Ahmass Fakahany, Founder of Altamarea Group & Atelier House Hospitality. “Her deal sourcing skills and ability to cultivate top-tier clients internationally and locally has grown significantly, and we are delighted to have her lead our vision”, he added.
In Dubai, AHH secured a Michelin Star for the second year and achieved a 14th rank in Pellegrino’s MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants annual Rankings for 11 Woodfires. Among other things, AHH is known for its successful RSVP opening and local favourite Mohalla, its elevated regional Indian Street Food concept. Shortly, AHH plans to open a World Tapas concept in Dubai, a Modern Andhra concept in Hyderabad, India, and a modern bistro & bar in Gurugram, India, among others in the pipeline.
Notably, AHH has collaborated with Tashkeel Studios to create a one-of-a-kind immersive restaurant in a transformational creative centre. The restaurant, GERBOU, will envelope unique art and the art of food into a holistic experience that celebrates Emirati flavours, influences, and traditions. It is planned to open in the second quarter of 2024.
Panchali has consistently advocated for women’s growth and development in food and beverage and participates in crucial mentorship programs. The UAE government has recognised her work and awarded her the Golden Visa, making her the first woman in hospitality to receive the award.
Her leadership at Atelier House Hospitality has been recognised with several awards, including Restaurateur of the Year by Caterer ME. Many leading publications have listed her among the most influential women in F&B.
